About Us

The Ohio Branch of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (OHAALAS) is one of four branches that composes District 5 AALAS. Meetings are held at least quarterly with the goal to provide education, networking, and to further the professional development of our members. Foundational annual meetings include an Awards Banquet at the start of each year to recognize members for the past year's achievements, a Technical Information Exchange in the Spring where members are encouraged to present on relevant topics related to their work, a social Summer event and an educational Fall event. Additional meetings and events are held as relevant! All educational events serve to act as continuing education credits for RLATs, RLAHTs, and RLATGs. Elections for branch leadership are held annually in the Fall and members are always encouraged to nominate, apply, and vote!
